Pink Eggs and Glam Drag Brunch

Who knew a Sunday brunch could be this much fun? Pink Eggs and Glam are the drag brunches held by Sky Casper at various locations in New England, including The Social in New London once or twice a month. (The next two are March 31 and April 14.) On the day I went, the stars were Jacklynn Hyde and Nicole Onoscopi, and they were uproariously humorous and were entertaining singers, to boot. They performed even as they seamlessly gathered the dollar bills that audience members held out for them as tips throughout the show. As for the brunch side of things: You order breakfast (I had the French toast, wrapped around gouda and chorizo and drizzled with maple syrup, for $12) and a beverage (if you want to buy one), and sit back to enjoy the floor show. Tickets are $15 in advance. A warning: the brunches have been selling out fast, so keep an eye on www.skycasper.com for when the shows begin offering tickets.
