Presumably no one will actually drive a car to Saturday's 5th Annual Time & Tide Film Festival, an event that showcases and celebrates some of the world's finest surf, skate and outdoor/action sports filmmakers. These are folks who eschew traditional transportation and activities for, well, surfing, skating and outdoor action!

Films include "The Quieter You Are the More You Can Hear" by Craig Anderson and Kai Neville; "The People of Water" by Westerly's Gnarly Bay; "A-Side California Clinic" by Rhody-based surf filmmakers Cvrret; "Lovely Day" by Rhode Island's Tanner Pendleton; and Sam Smith's "Nu Rythmo."

Enjoy an adrenaline-stoking after-party musical performance by Newport surf-rock trio The Z-Boys. Time & Tide is sponsored by Westerly's United Theater and takes place in the Knickerbocker Music Center.
