'Songs for Peace' concert Saturday in Norwich

Charles Frink sits in his living room in 2008.

On Saturday, Norwich's Bank Street Blues project presents a bilingual concert "Songs for Peace" with songs by the late Norwich/New London composer Charles Frink.

The program takes place at 3 p.m. at Castle Church and is designed to bring awareness to bilingual speakers and the challenges they experience — along with efforts to enhance community experiences through efforts to embrace language, culture and diversity.

The concert will be delivered in Spanish and English and features the ensemble of keyboardist Bill Groth, bassist James Hunter, drummer Che Cartafalsa and bilingual vocalists Alexander Waid and Margaret Tyler.

"Songs for Peace" is made possible by a grant from CT Humanities with the support of Otis Library. Castle Church is located at 4 Broadway, Norwich. Admission is free. Visit globalcitynorwich.com.
