Upwards of 100 traditional and classic wooden boats will head to Mystic this weekend.

It’s all part of the 29th annual WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport Museum, which hosts the event in partnership with WoodenBoat Publications.

While it draws fans of wooden boats and maritime history, it also attracts people who simply like looking at beautiful boats, from classic daysailers to mahogany runabouts.

Demonstrations and workshops take place all weekend, and exhibitors will sell items for boats, as well as maritime art, antiques and more. Visitors can also see home-built boats in the “I Built It Myself” display.

Also taking place Saturday and Sunday at Mystic Seaport is the museum’s Antique Marine Engine Exposition. More than 150 engines of varying kinds will be on view.
