Join the Friends of the Preston Public Library and the Preston Historical Society as they host Kandie Carle, the Victorian Lady on Sun., Dec. 11 at 2 pm at the Preston Public Library. While dressed in actual vintage and authentically reproduced undergarments, clothing and accessories, Kandie will add humor history and anecdotes about fashion, home life and etiquette of men and women during the 1890 holiday season.
Bring your own teacup and saucer, or use ours. Tea and refreshments will be served after the program.
The fee is $15 per person (attendees wearing full Victorian costume will have their fee waived). Registration is required. Cash or check is due the day of the program. To register, please call the library at 860-886-1010 or email them at prestonlibraryprograms@gmail.com.
