It's become a regular and much-anticipated event combining fun, fellowship and a cheerleady sense of civic optimism and resolve heading into the new year. It's the Bash at the Beach, hosted by New London city councilman Mike Buscetto, and it takes place Saturday in the Port 'n' Starboard at Ocean Beach Park.Last year's soiree was responsible for fireworks at the beach during '09, and the goal this year is to support New London police, fire, youth and senior groups, New London Main Street, Ocean Beach Park, and more. There will be a live and silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, and plenty of surprises.
