Musicians perform for food charities
Glenn Dewell and Friends, with special guests Mark Cutler, Johnny Provo and John Juxo DiTommaso, will host a fundraiser to benefit the groups Why Hunger and the Shoreline Soup Kitchen on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Black Sheep Irish Pub, 247 Main St., Niantic.
Dewell is an East Lyme Middle School teacher and long-time member of 1 of 52 Hunger Network, a network of local and national artists, individuals and organizations dedicated to ending hunger.
Nonperishable food items and cash donations will be collected, and the Black Sheep will donate a portion of its proceeds for the evening.
