Comics led by Adam Sandler hit Sun Arena
It's nice when you and your pals are successful enough to conceptualize ways to hang out and have fun — and get paid for it. This seems to be the substructure of "The Do Over Tour," a traveling comedic roadshow starring Adam Sandler, David Spade, Nick Swardson and Rob Schneider.
The quartet hits Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, which coincides with the release of a new Sandler/Spade film for Netflix called "The Do Over," wherein the two stars play characters who fake their deaths to get a fresh start in life. The whole group recently teamed for another Netflix film, a Tarantino spoof called "The Ridiculous Six."
Not sure what will happen in the Arena on Friday, but a wish-list might include:
• All four comics onstage together to do a reading of "Star Spangled Girl"
• Swardson and Schneider discussing on the dialectic differences between "moral," "non-moral," "unmoral" and "amoral" — performed in funny "duck-quack" voices
• Spade sawing his own tongue off with a penknife
• Sandler tearfully trying to apologize to the world for "Little Nicky"
The Do Over Tour, 8 p.m. Friday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $79, $99; 1-888-664-3426.
