    Sample local flavor at upcoming Eco-Lunchoen

    The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will host an Eco-Luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday June 23, at the Oyster Club in downtown Mystic. The menu will feature foraged and sustainably grown local fare prepared by Oyster Club Executive Chef James Wayman.

    Maggie Jones, executive director of the Nature Center, will host the event and present “Healthy Soil, Healthy Plants, Healthy People” and discuss the ingredients incorporated into each course. Craig Floyd, Coogan Farm manager, will share his gardening philosophy. Learn why soil and minerals are the building blocks of human nutrition, and the core of healthy eating.

    Tickets are $60 per person. Space is limited and reservations are required. Proceeds benefit DPNC.
