In addition to its usual celebrated offerings, Mystic Seaport Museum has some special boat-related events this summer.

This Saturday brings the Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous, which is a showcase for beautiful — and beautifully maintained — antique and classic vessels. Everything culminates in a three-mile parade down the Mystic River at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

And coming up on Aug. 19 and 20 is the Antique Marine Engine Expo, which boasts more than 300 exhibits. The event is one of the oldest major marine engines shows in America.
