On Tuesday, August 29, join the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation as they host former All-American and NBA basketball star Chris Herren. Herren, a person in long-term recovery, will share his inspiring story of addiction and his road to rehabilitation, in hopes of educating many on the topic of health and wellness. This presentation is sponsored by the Primary Prevention Project-an initiative made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, which is kicking off its 4-part “Wellness Circle” series on substance abuse prevention and recovery.
