Thirty years after he painted the iconic Great Sperm Whales mural along Eugene O’Neill Drive here in New London, internationally renowned environmental muralist and conservationist Wyland returns to replace the piece.
All our welcome to come visit as the new mural comes into focus from March 31 through April 3. There will be a dedication ceremony on Monday, April 3 to celebrate the renewal of this important gateway to our city as well as launch the Wyland Foundations annual National Mayor’s Challenge. This project is a partnership between the City of New London and the New London Cultural District and was made possible through a significant Community Challenge grant awarded by the Connecticut Office of Development and Planning.
