    Lyman Allyn presents artwork by local students

    The Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London is presenting artworks by students from area schools in the museum’s Lehman Auditorium.

    Students, parents, teachers, families, and art enthusiasts of all ages are invited to explore artwork created by students, grades K-12, from Interdistrict School for Arts & Communications (ISAAC), Winthrop Elementary, C.B. Jennings Elementary, The Williams School, Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School, New London Arts Magnet Middle School and New London High School.

    Two- and three-dimensional artworks, in a variety of media, are included in the series of “pop-up” shows. A celebration of learning and artistic excellence, this exhibit showcases student talent, creativity and critical thinking.

    2024 Show Series are:

    • ISAAC: Now through Sunday

    • Winthrop and C.B. Jennings Elementary Schools: March 20-31; opening reception March 21 for Jennings, March 22 for Winthrop

    • The Williams School: April 3-14, opening reception April 5

    • Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School, in Glassenberg Gallery: April 26-May 19, opening reception April 26

    • Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School: April 17-28, opening reception April 19

    • New London Arts Magnet Middle School: May 1-12, opening reception May 3

    • New London High School: May 15-26, opening reception May 17
