The Griswold Inn Store ~ Goods & Curiosities hosts Social Summer Saturday open house events on Saturdays from 4 to 8 p.m. through Aug. 31. Special guest artists, authors, and artisans will be invited in store for trunk shows, book signings, and casual conversation. Light refreshment will also be offered. On July 13, author Vicki Cain will discuss her book, Travels with Vicki. A Connecticut native, Cain hit the dusty trail with her traveling companion Judy, a four-legged, Australian shepherd. The duo took a year to retrace the steps of John Steinbeck's famous Travels with Charley, journaling her road trip across America.
