Stillwater Artisinal scores with dry beer
It wasn't long after I moved up here and discovered that dry beer was pretty good, as per a New York brewery called Rheingold. Naturally, Rheingold went almost immediately out of business. Figures. I'm not one of those Beer Nerds, but I suppose "dry" refers to the finish of the beer on the tongue, which is crisp and absent of any sweet aftertaste. I can't seem to find many dry beers on the market despite the boom in craft brewing, but this rice-brewed offering from the hip and creatively prolific folks at Baltimore's Stillwater Artisinal brewery, crafted to imbue the drinking subtleties of sake, is a tremendously refreshing creation. At only 3.8% ABV, you can enjoy three or four!
