    H.S. roundup: Old Lyme boys, girls advance to Shoreline lacrosse finals

    Old Lyme — Grayson Colvin scored nine goals as second-seeded Old Lyme defeated No. 3 North Branford 12-8 in the semifinals of the Shoreline Conference boys' lacrosse tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

    The Wildcats (12-5) avenged a 10-8 loss to the Thunderbirds on Saturday and advance to Thursday's final against No. 4 Valley Regional, which upset No. 1 Morgan 12-8. The championship will be played at the Indian River Complex in Clinton at 5 p.m.

    Old Lyme and Valley split a pair of regular-season meetings.

    Jack Bocian added three assists for Old Lyme, which led 6-5 at halftime, while Mike Kolesnik added one goal and two assists and goalie James Rollins made 17 saves.

    Tyler Dinapolis had two goals and two assists for North Branford (11-6).

    H.S. girls' lacrosse

    • Lydia Tinnerello had six goals and an assist, leading No. 2 Old Lyme to a 19-17 win over No. 3 Old Saybrook in the Shoreline Conference tournament semifinals. The Wildcats will play No. 1 North Branford in the final on Thursday at the Indian River complex in Clinton at 7 p.m.

    Bella Arias had four goals and an assist, Anna Sather scored three times, Paige Britton scored twice, Daisy Colvin had two goals, two assists and six draw controls, Emily Erne made 16 saves and Bianca Tinnerello had a goal, two assists and six draw controls for Old Lyme (11-6). Kendall Hartt scored six goals and Izzy Sigersmith and Kathryn Spotts had three goals each for Old Saybrook.

    H.S. boys' golf

    • Old Lyme won a pair of nonleague matches, beating Stonington 6-1 and host Montville 7-0. Stonington beat Montville 6-1 in an ECC Division II match. Old Lyme's Corey Drummond was the medalist with 1-over-par 37, Pat Looney (38), Tom Creagan (3) and Connor McGuire were 2-0 for Old Lyme (12-2) and teammate Alec Maskell was 1-1.

    Grant Hamilton, Jacob Geary, Aiden Adams and Justin Holland won matches for Stonington (11-4, 7-3) against Montville and Holland also won against Old Lyme. Sam Gaboury of Montville (1-12, 0-8) won the No. 1 match against Stonington, which lost to Woodstock Academy in an ECC Division II match on Monday, 6-1. Jack Glenn of Stonington won the No. 1 match.

    H.S. boys' tennis

    • New London ended its regular season with a 4-3 loss to Bacon Academy on Monday. Zack Skrabacz won at No. 1 singles, Wesly Paulo won 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Chris Alemania-Rockenson Charles won in straight sets.
