Waterford baseball, Ledyard softball have games rained out
Two local schools had their CIAC semifinal games postponed because of rain on Tuesday night.
The CIAC called off a Class M baseball semifinal doubleheader at Bristol's Muzzy Field until Wednesday. No. 2 NW Regional and No. 3 Woodland will now be played at 10 a.m., with the game between top-seeded East Catholic and No. 4 Waterford will follow at 1 p.m.
No. 6 Ledyard's game against No. 2 St. Joseph in the Class L softball semifinals at West Haven was postponed until Wednesday at 7 p.m. The first game was completed with No. 1 Masuk defeating No. 5 East Haven 5-0.
