No. 1 St. Joseph edges No. 6 New London 57-52

Bridgeport — Top-ranked St. Joseph of Trumbull pulled away in the fourth quarter after New London’s Kris Dunn fouled out and the Cadets beat the No. 6 Whalers 57-52 on Wednesday night in the Northeast Christmas Classic before 2,386 at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard.

Dunn, the Providence College-bound guard, scored a game-high 27 points, but fouled out just 1:03 into the fourth quarter. New London led 42-40 at the time, but St. Joseph (6-0) outscored the Whalers (4-2) 17-10 the rest of the way.
