    H.S. soccer: East Lyme girls edge Woodstock 1-0

    Woodstock - Izzy Moore's goal with 9:43 left in the first half allowed East Lyme High School to escape with a 1-0 road victory over Woodstock Academy in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Large Division girls' soccer game Friday.

    Katie Christiansen assisted for the Vikings (11-0-1, 7-0-1) and goalie Gabby Fiengo made 10 saves for East Lyme, which held an 18-14 edge in shots.

    In other games:

    • Montville and Waterford played to a scoreless overtime tie in the ECC Medium Division, Waterford's third overtime game of the week. Waterford (6-3-3, 4-2-2) held a 20-11 edge in shots, but Stefanie Szot made 11 saves in goal for Montville (6-3-3, 4-2-2). Jordan Kovacs made seven saves for Waterford.

    • Maddie Ouellette had two goals and Jenna Peduzzi had a goal and an assist as Old Lyme beat Cromwell 5-0 in a Shoreline Conference game. Keelin Hurtt and Julia Smith added goals and Katherine Pettersen had seven saves for Old Lyme (9-2, 8-2).

    • Ledyard scored a pair of first-half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over Fitch in the ECC Large Division. Brooke Scahill, Isabella Mercer and Carley Loy scored for the Colonels (9-2-1, 5-2-1) while Ally Clarke scored in the second half for Fitch (3-10, 1-7). Shea Berry made 29 saves in goal for the Falcons and Delaney Gagnon stopped five shots for Ledyard.

    • Lyman Memorial moved into first place in the ECC Small Division with a 2-0 win over St. Bernard. Alex Santiago made four saves for St. Bernard (7-3-1, 7-1-1).

    Boys

    • L.J. Luster scored a pair of goals as Bacon Academy beat NFA 2-1 in an ECC Large Division game. Santiago Manrique scored with two minutes left in the game and Seth Strader made four saves for NFA (6-4-1, 4-3-1).

    • Goals by Alex Schmidt and Cooper Clang lifted Lyman Memorial to a 2-0 victory over St. Bernard in the ECC Small Division. Goalie Tim Bouchard stopped 15 shots for St. Bernard (1-9-1, 1-6-1).
