Quit your complaining about speeding enforcement

This letter concerns David Collins’ column, “A New London welcome: Speed trap,” (Aug. 30).

You were driving, you were speeding. Speeding is speeding no matter where it is. Now you are blaming everyone and everything, even the road.

Grow up and take responsibility for your actions. Also, shame on you for blaming the police officers for doing their jobs. I wish there was more of them so they could sit on the lower end of Montauk Avenue and get the people who blow through the stop sign and use the road as their own race track.

Maybe they could write an article in the newspaper blaming everyone else, too.
