State Sen. Heather Somers, R-Groton, should help citizens and not just breweries. I think it’s commendable that Somers is helping local breweries and fishermen, but can she help by looking into important subjects such as road paving and improvements?  

I contacted the senator and she said she would look into it.

Somers provided a list of road improvement projects, but the road I asked about was not included. River Road in Mystic is heavily traveled, used by many kayaks, runners, walkers and local traffic. The road needs to be repaved. 

Senator, beer and fishing are important, but so are our local roads. If possible, let’s see if you can help convince the Groton Council to address this need in a beautiful scenic area.
