The Day has run a number of articles, “Mechanical problem forces Mystic YMCA to alter project schedule” (March 21), regarding the fundraisers to benefit the renovations for the Mystic YMCA. As a member of the YMCA for the last three years, I have enjoyed all the opportunities offered, especially the sauna. There are many members whom I have met who also enjoy use of the sauna. We have recently been told that the sauna has been eliminated in the plans for the new renovations. My intention is to make people aware that the sauna is vital to many members of the Y because of the health benefits it provides. Hopefully they will reconsider their decision.
