Foreign transients are coming to U.S. 'to plunder, pillage, exploit'

Republican control of both houses of Congress is not producing results. Democrats control none and still have all the leverage and control. President Trump’s reversal of the family separation policy results in “status quo” and an invitation for people to continue the trek north with a minor, if not from the start, picking up one along the way.

By failing to act, the members of the Congress and Senate have again hidden under their desks, shirked their duty and violated their oath. This is reminiscent of the 1986 promise of amnesty with border security. Once amnesty, no border security followed. The 1986 inaction made the flawed 1965 Kennedy immigration reform act worse. Doing nothing today continues destruction and damage to the country and citizenry.

To the mantra “we are a nation of immigrants;” I say bunk. There was a time when immigration fed and benefited the nation. Now, with globalization, ease of travel, and massive social service systems available upon arrival, we don’t have immigrants. Many are transient citizens who come not to meld and assimilate but to plunder, pillage, exploit, only to leave with their wealth or establish enclaves within our nation. It is time to put America first and vote incumbents out.
