Fasano's criticism of Katz ignores key facts

The oddest thing about State Senator Len Fasano’s long-term obsession with Connecticut Department of Children and family director Joette Katz is his amazing ability to ignore facts. Since Katz took over DCF she’s made astonishing progress in key areas from reducing the number of kids being pulled from their families (especially very young kids) to rates of child injury and death. According to the latest Annie E. Casey Kids Count national roundup of children and family well-being, Connecticut ranks seventh out of 50. In fact, the state has consistently ranked in the top ten in child well-being since Katz took over.

I will give Fasano this: In these odd times when facts don’t seem to matter, the senator has certainly been ahead of the curve.
