Sabilia has experience to serve Waterford well

A letter, “Sabilia would lead Waterford down New London’s failed path,” (Oct. 9), opined that Beth Sabilia would make Waterford like New London. I beg to differ. The elected and appointed positions that Beth held in New London were valuable experience that will help make her an effective first selectperson. Since returning to Waterford, Beth has also served one four-year term on the Board of Finance and is completing a second term on the Waterford Representative Town Meeting. She also serves on the Municipal Complex Building Committee. Beth has experience in Waterford town government that will serve her in well in presenting to both the Board of Finance and the RTM. As a practicing attorney, she is also a small business owner, with all the burdens and pleasures of that vocation.

Beth has a plan and a program that will benefit Waterford in the future. I urge Waterford voters to join me in casting their ballots for Beth Sabilia as first selectman and for the rest of the Democratic Team on Nov. 5.
