Only time will tell what power the newcomers Kevin Booker Jr., James Burke, Curtis Goodwin and Reona Dyess can really accomplish to change the future of New London.

The mayor's well-known historical life in New London is not to be questioned, however this new majority for the control of city council's budget and purse strings is relative to my comment here and now, only!

These four newcomers, if united, can really make a difference and make a real change in the future of New London that has not been obtainable for any of the "Olde Celebrity Regime" of past Democratic City Council members.

I'm hopeful that these newcomers do not, like past Democratic members who have gotten lost, freeze up like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming motor vehicle or seek the celebrity limelight but rather will be open to listening to the public, doing their thorough research, and most importantly the integrity and willpower of putting their personal agendas aside for the benefit of the all and the longevity of the city of New London's success and economic growth as the prime directive!
