Elci's troubling positions are hurtful and wrong

After reading Lee Elci's column, “Maybe I’m too old for a politically correct, non-binary world,” (Feb. 5), I have concluded that he is attempting to gather evidence in his supposed lawsuit against the Waterford Board of Education for his inadequate education.

His weekly column in The Day should provide ample evidence. As for his astonishing ignorance and wanton cruelty, that should be for another day. Please try to keep in mind Lee Elci's issue isn’t with the Department of Motor Vehicles or checking a tiny box on his driver’s license any more than it is about having Spanish on a ballot, which would make voting easier and more accurate. His issue is about power, control and fear. He is attempting to delegitimize people he fears, anyone who threatens his position.

It is about making them feel small. It is about hurting people and it is simply wrong.
