Do right by all in face of coronavirus

Making sense of what is going on politically, socially, economically, and medically is almost impossible. All we know is what we are told, and all we can do is our best.

We have always been adjusting to a new normal every day. Changes have usually been quite gradual, but there also have been very abrupt and serious changes, such as World War II and 9/11. After chaos we readjust to yet another new normal. In our personal understanding of normal we may differ from each other as individuals, but we find common interest to pull us together.

Right now our biggest challenge is to do right by everyone, in the face of the coronavirus, to help where help is needed, to let workers work, teachers teach, students study, food merchants feed us and on down the list without ceasing our endeavor to gain and keep control of the elements, medical and political, that are driving wedges between us in every conceivable way. We have to do this while protecting everyone from illness so far as possible because otherwise the effort is worse than pointless, it's dangerous. We need knowledgeable people of integrity, given full voice despite attempts to muzzle them, to tell us what we need to know.
