Democracy in danger from Democratic-controlled House
Our country is no longer a representative democracy. The House of Representatives does not call committee meetings to deal with critical issues facing the country. It has been consumed by a campaign to remove an elected president based on false information.
Where are the hearings to deal with multiple threats from China, from Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, porous borders, unsustainable deficits, a pandemic with perhaps 22% unemployed or furloughed? Instead, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., works with a few lieutenants, crafts legislation costing not billions but trillions and then calls Congress to vote up or down.
This is democracy?
