Time to put power lines underground

Isaiah came through Aug. 4, we have countless trees on power lines and thousands with no power, and no idea for restoration. Hot, humid weather, no AC, no refrigeration, people not able to afford to go to hotels and yet Eversource has doubled some customers’ bills. This storm was forecasted well in advance, yet Eversource had no one in place to start restoration. Endless dollars are spent to cut trees, leaving poles and wires still subject to severe weather and car accidents, once again taking down poles and power.

Burying wires underground would be a viable solution. Instead of excuses of cost and expense for underground systems, Eversource should take the useless tree cutting budget and invest in a worthwhile solution to solve the problem. We need to stop wasting money and demand change.
