District 20 needs Martha Marx in state Senate
As a campaign volunteer in my town of Old Lyme, I have become acquainted with Martha Marx in her bid for the Senate seat in the 20th District. I have been so impressed with her knowledge, her commitment, and her sense of values that I feel compelled to write and share my belief that it is time for a change.
The current COVID-19 crisis has shown us our health care infrastructure needs to be updated in a big way. Martha is a practicing nurse and it is clear we will need, in our state legislature, more trained health care professionals who understand science, making sure we are doing everything we can to keep our retirees and school children safe and avoid costly mistakes. When I heard the stories of how Martha took care of her patients so beautifully and under difficult circumstances, I had confidence she would be the voice of the people we want and need in our Senate.
I am convinced that Martha has both the energy and the compassion to lead us in our time of crisis. I encourage everyone to vote with your values and cast your ballot for Martha Marx for state Senate. I know I will.
