As the West burns and the South drowns, we here in Connecticut are also being impacted by climate change.

Our sun was not as bright and the temperatures recently were cooler because the smoke from western fires drifted across the entire continent. Much of Connecticut is in a severe drought. I hike in the woods several times a week and I see that streams have completely dried up for the first time. These are just two of the more recent negative effects of climate change locally.

We need someone in the 47th District who does not deny climate change. Instead, Kate Donnelly has been a proponent of alternative energy sources like solar panels for years. She understands that we must do everything we can to reduce climate change for the benefit of everyone, including farmers and current and future generations. Kate is someone who believes in science and facts and will use her knowledge to make Connecticut a better place to live.
