Michele Obama has it right: this isn't a game. Yet, as their states burn, red-state politicians continue to refuse simple public health measures that will reduce the slaughter and revive our economy. Why? Because of psychotic fealty to President Trump and Scott Atlas (a medical moron). History will judge that politicians who refuse to protect citizens are complicit, causing death and disability. It is pathetic (if not a sin) to put politics ahead of people.

In New London, we are beginning to struggle again. There are only three intensive care physicians left; if one gets COVID-19, you can do the math. It is huge hutzpah for knuckleheads to exercise their precious misguided notion of "liberty" at the expense of their neighbors. And then clog our hospitals with preventable illness.

Six months of patient resolve and we will be vaccinated; we will get through this alive. I will stop beating around the bush, so even the terminally dense (of middle America) can understand: ditch the selfishness, distance and wear a (expletive) mask.
