My name is Megan Peters, and I am the endorsed Democratic candidate for City of Groton Clerk. As an unopposed candidate in the May 3 election, I am excited to start my service to this city as its next clerk. I would like to officially declare my support for Mayor Keith Hedrick, the write-in choice. Not only do I believe that Keith is the best candidate for our city, but he is the initial reason I chose to interview and now run for the position. Throughout the years, living in this city, I have seen Keith present and available at every city event. He not only shows up, but he participates. He works for us and our city, seven days a week, around the clock. He is available to every citizen who reaches out and does his best to address each and every concern. He has said that he is proud to say that he loves this city. I am proud to say that I stand by this mayor, our mayor. He has set the best example of leadership to our community and he would like to continue as our mayor. We are lucky to have him.
