Thanks to all who subscribe to The Day and care to voice opinions. The City of Groton is in very good shape, and for that we owe a debt of gratitude to the leaders governing. We all share in reduced property taxes, while given greater amenities in quality of living standards. The city is certainly a special gem, with all its gifted residents, and all of us living and working together. It is unfortunate that anyone would try to upset the apple cart; and seemingly more for self-interest than the larger whole. My hope is that we, as good citizens can stem the tide, show up in numbers, encourage our neighbors, and write in Keith Hedrick for mayor of the City of Groton on May 3, the first Monday of May.
