New London Pizza in City of Brotherly Love

I enjoyed reading, “A pizza provenance,” (April 17), by Rick Koster and Peter Huoppi. And it brought back a lovely memory. In the mid-'60s, as newlyweds, my husband and I lived in Philadelphia on Lebanon Avenue. And right up the street there was a small pizza place called New London Pizza. Being Connecticut Yankees, we often wondered how the name came about, but sadly, we never inquired. A quick google search this morning located two other New London Pizzas in the city of Philadelphia, though neither was the one we knew.

Still, it makes me wonder if New London Pizza truly is a thing!
