If a free press is a guardian of democracy, your headline on June 7 in the print edition should have been Cheney’s warning: that we must watch the hearings, or a system of government that has kept our rights alive for over 200 years will soon be a thing of the past — “Will U.S. watch Jan. 6 hearings?”.

Republicans have put everything in place to make our vote subject to doubt. Future transitions of power will be as questionable and predictable as they are in banana and authoritarian republics.

You have helped to sow the propaganda spread by enemies of our government by reducing the importance of these hearings.

Shame also on the networks for not giving the hearings the full coverage we deserve to hear.
