Better rail service will help everyone

It's about time. I have waited for years, as I'm sure others have. Shore Line East extending its schedule to New London is the smartest choice ever.

I commute back and forth to New York City at least five times or more during the month, sometimes not being able to make my appointments due to being stuck in traffic on Interstate 95. Not having to fight the traffic to New Haven is a blessing. Not only will it help with traffic to the city, but quite possibly cut down the number of accidents occurring daily on I-95.

I-95 is already a dangerous highway that is constantly backed up because of traffic, accidents or construction. This will help commuters and bring people into New London.

As Barbara Neff said, it would bring more people into the city for Sailfest and, I hope, bring more people into the city who may not come because of the traffic on I-95.

Great decision, Connecticut. The shoreline appreciates this.
