I am voting for my friend, Democrat Erica Richardson, for New London City Council. Erica is extremely well qualified to represent our city. She is a professional who balances everyday personal life, work life, and her public service interests extremely well. She's smart, composed and grounded.

Erica is a New London native who deals with the same day-to-day issues all citizens do. She knows how difficult it is to balance her own household budget every week, while raising a child. This is the perspective she will bring as the New London school system goes through dramatic change. She will bring balance, vision, and a voice for diversity to the council to help bring about these changes.

As a former legislative assistant and congressional aide to Congressman Sam Gejdenson, Erica has the experience and knowledge to make a real difference for our city. She will serve us well with this depth and breadth of experience. Erica understands the realities of the NLPD and is in her second year serving on the Police Community Relations Committee. She is just the right person to help bring about better communications between the police, union, administration and council.
