Some will die for lack of insurance

Is it possible that President Trump was surprised that reforming health care was complicated? Anyone who has dealt with an insurer would know it is anything but straight forward. As a health care provider I can attest that insurers have made it painful to deal with them. The paperwork, documentation, exclusions and review of claims make American health care coverage a morass.

In an attempt to scare the public, opponents of the ACA warned that it would result in "death panels." As Congress has now "repealed and replaced" the ACA, we should really be concerned that becoming ill might spell an individual's end. Allowing states to opt out of covering many services that "TrumpCare" would allow essentially excludes basic care for a myriad of illnesses and conditions.

Pre-existing conditions are not under an individual's control and being able to deny them care may be a death sentence, as insurance becomes unaffordable for many.

We already can buy any coverage we wish, as long as we are wealthy enough to afford it. Congress should lose the free care they receive at our expense and be forced to swim in the same insurance pool as constituents. One shouldn't be rich enough to join a Florida club to afford good coverage.
