I have a question for our Democratic Senator Murphy and to make the citizens of Connecticut aware of how your senators do business in Washington. Sen. Ted Cruz introduced a bill that would have provided $15 billion to double school resource officers, $10 billion to hire 15,000 mental health professionals for middle and high schoolers and $2.56 billion in security improvements for school campuses. Your elected Democratic senator opposed this bill and derailed it.

Why would you do such a thing since the Democrats are supposed to be in favor of helping the children and having extra school security? Senator Murphy was quoted as saying this legislation was just theatrics. I have to disagree and once again your Democratic elected senator has failed the children he is supposed to help. Hopefully, other citizens of Connecticut will contact the senator and ask him why he blocked this bill.
