    Is Connecticut really safe?

Ned Lamont the governor of the state of Connecticut claims in a campaign ad that crime in Connecticut in 2020 and 2021 was lower than in 2019. Murders, rapes, robberies, and assaults were all up, so what crime rates were going down? Carjackings, catalytic converter thefts were still on the upswing.

Police retirements due to the police accountability meant that less police, more crimes not being responded to as opposed to having a normal police response to 911 calls. Just watch the nightly news and the first reports after the weather are shootings, murders, and assaults. According to the governor, Connecticut is safe under his watch, I think not.
