A recent letter illustrated an interesting development in contemporary politics: It was always easy to determine the affiliation of candidates by the color of their posted signs. Now, with the many variations, it is difficult to do so. Even more unfortunate is that it is impossible to distinguish between Trump Republicans and traditional Republicans. I am certain that there are indeed honest and capable in the latter group, I have voted for more than a few in my lifetime. However, unless and until they make a clear and open distinction defining their position concerning the MAGA toxicity of the former, nobody in the GOP will get my vote.
