    In governor’s race, integrity matters

In past election cycles, Connecticut voters have made poor choices in terms of candidates integrity, think John Rowland.

In campaign ads Mr. Stefanowski makes every effort to portray himself as an honorable man of the people.

Mr. Stefanowski made his fortune as CEO of a payday loan enterprise. A business model that, in my opinion, amounts to legalized usury. Payday loans prey on those of those most economically vulnerable with absurdly high interest rates. Thankfully, in Connecticut, our laws impose interest limits, keeping people safe from such abuses.

Now we have learned that Mr. Stefanowski entered into a business relationship with a Saudi company backed by MBS, the Saudi Crown Prince, after MBS had his thugs carry out the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, an American green card resident employed by a major U.S. news outlet.

Connecticut does not need the likes of Mr. Stefanowski at the helm of government.

    Integrity Matters.
