    Courtney best choice for veterans

With the election almost here, I want to voice my support for Joe Courtney for Congress. Since 2007 Joe has spearheaded the economic revitalization of our district and has brought millions in federal funds to boost shipbuilding, workforce training, and infrastructure. On top of all this, Joe has been a champion for veterans in our region and was a leader in helping pass the PACT Act, the Agent Orange bill, blocking cuts to the GI bill/passing a new one, and was integral in tripling the size of the VA outpatient center in New London.

Joe has my vote because he and his team support their constituents and do not play politics when it comes to helping those in need. As a veteran, I see Joe as someone who loves his country, and this has been recognized nationally.

The U.S. Navy league, the nation’s largest association of Navy Veterans and shipbuilders, honored Joe as “sea services member of the year in 2015” on the heels of the 2014 honoree U.S. Sen. John McCain. I am truly proud to call Joe Courtney my Congressman and looking forward to voting for him on Nov. 8!
