Over the last year I have become personally acquainted with Sen. Heather Somers and I have realized she is a real powerhouse and a huge positive force to deal with. What a resume of incredible contributions to her district and to every constituent she serves!

Her accolades include supporting the Stonington fishing fleet, and an advocate for the continued conservation of our coastal towns. She led the charge to lower costs on prescription medications, delivered millions of dollars of tax cuts, fought for the removal of the gas tax, aided local businesses during the pandemic, supported the tourism industry, and the arts. Heather advocated for our veterans, school children, healthcare workers, and our most vulnerable neighbors. This is just a short list of her accomplishments and her willingness to continue her mission in Hartford.
