On Dec. 21 Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a compelling, historic, and heartfelt speech to our nation about Democracy. Within 24 hours after leaving his troops fighting for Democracy, he was in Washington, D.C., to meet with President Biden. Sad to say far too many in our country are still not aware or, worse, do not care how fragile democracy is.

The Ukrainian people have been going through a living hell to protect their fragile country’s democracy. Although we as a whole stood up for democracy this last voting cycle, I still believe there is much too much apathy and laziness within our country. We all seem to take a little too much for granted and trust that things will remain as they have in the past.

Ironically, around that same time of President Zelenskyy’s visit, both Peru and Germany were methodically squelching insurrectionist groups attempting at take over their country’s democracy! These countries were quick and resourceful, which we do not seem to be. Time is always imperative!

We all have to stay aware of what is going on, from the Justice Department and our population. Unfortunately, there are few Republicans, just MAGA Seditionists continuing to advance the stain of Trump.
