Congratulations to Mike DiMauro on his very poignant and truthful column on “baseball recruiting.” Every point and example that DiMauro made reflects the situation as it occurred in mortheastern Connecticut to our TriTown American Legion Baseball program. Every parent of young aspiring baseball players should read the article. Also, a ‘tip of the cap’ to Lucas Beaney for his effort in growing and keeping baseball local. It is time that local programs and the American Legion become proactive and follow the lead of Mr. Beaney. Let us all stand up for what is right with our hometown baseball programs.
