I refer to my recent letter suggesting a possible solution to the Ukrainian war by the creation of an unaligned federated Ukrainian state similar to Switzerland with autonomous regions. In no way did I intend to suggest that Russia's invasion was justified in any manner! Rather simply one avenue of halting the senseless misery and destruction with the possibility of a disastrously dangerous nuclear war.

The cowardly prosecution of the war by Russia targeting civilians, attacking hospitals and schools, rape, kidnapping children and employing barbarous mercenaries will leave a undying stain on Russian history.
