Cal Thomas goes too far to the right for this Republican

I have been reading Cal Thomas’ weekly columns for years. We are both in our 80s and Republicans. But in “Who(m) do you trust?,” (March 2), his opinions supported the far right Republicans. Maybe our intelligence agencies really do not know yet where COVID originated. Thus, no failure can be attributed to their consensus. Mr. Thomas basically wrote all COVID action taken was not necessary and Dr. Fauci was a liar.

In November/December 2022, Mr. Thomas wrote he could not understand why there was not a big red wave in the House of Representatives November election. To me the answer was a no brainer (no action taken on COVID, less taxes for the rich, unqualified individuals appointed to cabinet posts, Supreme court appointments, and etc.).

It is of my opinion if Trump was reelected the following would occur.

    1. At least another million would have died from COVID.

    2. Built a wall.

    3. Supported Putin and give no support to Ukraine.

    4. Got out of NATO.

    5. Veto all bills that were recently passed by Democrats.

    6. Change voting laws and etc.

I no longer trust or believe Mr. Thomas.
